Floral add ons that we love!
I get this question all the time: what flowers do I need to have at my wedding? And let me tell you, after years in the industry and working with countless clients… there are no rules. I’ve seen flowers on dogs, kids, llamas, or grannies. I’ve seen boats, chimneys, fireplaces, and wagons get a floral make over. So maybe the real question you should be asking is: where do you WANT flowers?
That being said, we compiled a list of some of our favorite flower add ons to date, so when you’re thinking about what your wedding dreams… maybe one of these might speak to you.
Our top 10:
#10 - Aisle or pew flowers
Most brides want their altar to be a statement area - and we agree! Especially with all the photo coverage of the area. But don’t forget about the entrance to the aisle or even adding some flowers down the aisle too! We offer larger ground arrangements that can flank either side of the entrance, or small ones to go all the way down. Get creative and use the aisle pieces as centerpieces later in the night!
# 9 - Cake Table
Most clients remember to add flowers to their cake, but what about around the entire table? A recent trend is taking the wedding world by storm and it is causing brides to add a huge floral splash to their cake table for those cute cake-cutting pics and we are here for it! Get creative and repurpose your ceremony pieces for this! Talk to us about our repurposing options, or read about it here on the blog.
# 8 - Candles
Did you know we also rent candles? Votives, pillar, or taper candles are yours for the borrowing! They look great added to reception tables, sweet heart tables, or even at your altar. Ask us about our candle rentals during your initial consultation, or email hello@fullybloomedflorals.com for pictures and pricing!
# 7 - Flat Lays or Detail Shots
We know your photographer would love some loose blooms to play with during their detailed shots. What better to accompany your ring, shoes, or other sentimental items than some beautiful blooms. Make sure to add that on to your order so we save some flowers for your photog!
#6 - Welcome Sign
Often times this is the first element of your wedding guests see, so lets wow them from the beginning! Opt for a small array attached to the sign, a lush garland, or even a ground arrangement nearby. Best part? You can often repurpose this piece to have a second life at your reception!
#5 - Dog Collar or pet leash
Always a fan of pets being involved in weddings! If you get a lovely bouquet or boutonniere, why not give your pet some floral flair? We’ve done collars or full leashes for dogs or cats - just make sure to get us their measurements.
#4 - Memorial Table
Such a sweet way to honor and remember those that are watching the wedding from Heaven. Add a small flower accent of their favorite bloom to honor them during your big day!
#3 - Petals for flower girl or guests
We all have been to a wedding and love to see flower girls prepare the way for the bride with petals! Now what if all of your guests could? Provide petals for guests, flower girls, ring boys or grannies to make your photos timeless and more fun!
#2 - Sweetheart Table
Our favorite part of reception - the special space for the new bride and groom. Whether you go all out on the table (make sure you leave room for your food!) or we put arrays around the base of the table… we love to make that space special. Many of the ceremony flowers can be repurposed for this space.
#1 - Hairpiece or flower crown
We are deeply committed to the belief that every bride should have as many outfit changes as they want, and if one happens to come with a reception flower crown moment we are even more stoked for it!
